Somersaulters

There is nothing more simple than a somersault. There is no purpose or value in a somersault. Just the reward of laughter and fun. A true unaffected expression of childhood. These paintings represent the essence of childhood, which to me is unstructured play. A swing, a slide, digging in the sand. I hope that they capture the spirit of such a brief moment in time.
