Abstract Landscapes

These landscapes are inspired by the paintings of Tom Thomson. His vivid landscapes capture me. He was a brilliant painter. I begin these works with a series of drawings based on a particular painting of Thomson, and create a new composition and pallette derived from the work. This re-interpretation allows me to delve deeper into Mr. Thomsons world and learn continually about his unique use of paint and line.
